Power Wheelchair Comparison –  Brief Reviews

Dinkum Navigator

With 18 months of designing and collaboration with top manufacturing engineers abbicare finally introduced in 2020 a wheelchair based on customer feedback in terms of what they wanted or would like to see to keep them happy.

The Dinkum Navigator is an aussie trademark and hope it will become an aussie icon in the not to distant future with its high quality components and powerful battery performance that can travel upto a distance of 40kms from a full charge with a maximum weight of up to 180kg.

This high powered chair is simple in design, folds in a couple of seconds and is very comfortable to sit it. From the zip stitching to the welding you will see that you are getting quality and a strong folding power wheelchair at an affordable price.

It has an optional T-100 trailer that is easily attached to the chair with engineering marvel bolts that will take about less then 20 seconds to attach.

The seating is wide and very comfortable for the carer/partner or grandchildren to take for a ride along the beach side enjoying our wonder island.

We also have plans to increase the distance up to 60kms but we are only at designing stage. This means the batteries are under the seat but for what the Dinkum Navigator offers we do not see this an issue.

Ideally priced for NDIS, my aged care plans and auscare plans and just about any plan because we also understand that your package is important to you.

Eagle Power – Eagle SD Eagle HD and Eagle WD

Abbicares’ national success is built on the highly successful EagleHD and is an Australian registered trademark. Its success is built on the ease of use, durability and reliability that keeps people on the move and demand from their folding power wheelchair.

It travels on many different terrains with two batteries powering two motors offering the user real 2WD. The batteries are situated neatly tucked into the side sub-frame allowing for wasy removal.

Well priced and popular amongst assitive technology plans and packages.

The EagleHD is the perfect design in our opinion for foldability, lightweight and high performance and we have customers with limited use of one arm due to strokes be able to fold the EagleHD, however, the SD version, which is built for up to 120kg, takes a little longer to fold and require both hands.

KANGNI KZ-100 aka ‘The Gekko’

Well priced and has already been noticed by customers and the Gekko is our newly introduced cute and funky power wheelchair that is designed for people that can balance and sit without being assisted.

Gekko is a side mount and dismount chair and just like we do when sitting into a dining chair. We come in from the side, usually, and then straighten to get comfortable.

With consumer demand and also OT recommendation, abbicare are collaborating with the manufacturers to implement a folding footrest to widen this funky looking chair.

The Gekko is an ultral lightweight weighing in an only 17kgs without the battery and we have two battery types on offer, a 10ah or 20Ah battery that is also neatly situated to reduce getting on your knees.

We have arange of colours on offer with the funky Green being the most supplied. Other colours are grey, blue and red and are special ordered which attracts air freight price.

Rapture A120

An automatic folding power wheelchair that is based on the highly successful eagle power wheelchair HD. By simply pressing a buttoin the chair will fold and open.

Ideally for people that want to maintain their independance and keep moving. The Rapture A120 weighs in just under 34kg and breaks into two pieces to easily put into the boot of most vehicles.

We recommend for people living alone and wanting to maintain independance that a hydraulic lifter be considered for frequent use as taking apart continiously can also eventually be cumbersome for you.

This is only a recommendation that is based on ‘having an easy life without compamise’. Please seek advice by an occupational therapist.

Coming Soon.. .

A fabulous power wheelchair that has a spinning seat allowing your to choose front wheel drive or rear wheel drive with a bucket type seat to keep you feeling safe. It can be taken apart to put into the boot.
